IBS - Loperamide, is it ok?

I diagnosed with IBS a 2 years ago.
Now when I mean diagnosed I mean that the doctors says it's probably IBS, but I refuse to do test (blood test - i'm the kind that really hate these test, really!).
I actually stop to trust the normal medical opinion about IBS becuase it seems that doctors have no idea about the causes.

Anyway, after trying few drugs (with doctors recommendation) and no help at all, I tried to use Imodium (Loperamide 2mg per capsule). Now the doctors says to take Imodium WHEN I got diarrhea. Like take 2 capsule after diarrhea and one more after each subsequently diarrhea. it means, the doctor mean to take Imodium only after the symptoms occurs, but then I found some interesting fact:

if I got one capsule of Imodium before going out of home, i'll probably experience less discomfort or not at all.
Then I started to get one capsule of Imodium almost before every exit out of home. (like one a day).

Now i asked the general doctor (not the same one that says about Imodium) about it, if it's ok to take many Imodium for a long time, and he resist to the idea becuase "Imodium  is just to solve diarrhea after it occurs".

I found places in the internet of people that says their doctors says to do this (take Imodium once a day).

The questions:

A. is it ok to take Imodium ONE A DAY (sideeffects for longterm?) ?
B. the drugs states in the manual that "it may cause tiredness... therefore, caution should be exercised when... driving a car". IF I do take it once a day, could I drive a car, or it's dangerous? (should I ask lawyer too? if it's legal too?)?
C.add if you have any other advices for IBS (what really disturb me is diarrhea, the sensation that I going to get diarrhea in the near future and the unclean and dirty feel in the underwear when I'm not in constipation days)

Thanks!!

Hi, there are no blood tests to diagnose IBS. It’s a functional disorder of the intestines. It’s a diagnosis of exclusion that means if all the other organic disorders have been ruled out then a diagnosis of IBS is made. Your bowel is a muscular tube, which stores and digests food. Irritable bowel is a disorder that affects the nerves and muscles of the bowel. Loperamide acts by slowing intestinal motility and by affecting water and electrolyte movement through the bowel. Adverse effect of therapy with this medication is constipation.  Besides this it can also cause nausea, vomiting, headache, abdominal pain, abdominal cramp and colic. Best Regards.
