Hi,

If I wanted to keep my IBS under control, could I take meds daily/weekly to help?.

The only meds I take are Buscopan and Colofac.

I haven't heard the names of these medications you mentioned.  I take an antispasmodic called Bentyl.  The generic name is Dicylcomine.  As for which medication is best, I think that really varies and depends on the individual.  There is a newer medication called Hyocyamine that is a sublingual medication.  I tried it, but I didn't think it was effective for me at all.  The drawback with the Bentyl is that it's sedating and it shouldn't be used long-term non-stop.  So, I only use it when I'm experiencing a painful flareup.
