Hi,
This appears to be gross bleeding noted in your urine?
Would you be able to note which part of voiding is the bleeding prominent? Is this in the first, middle or throughout voiding?
I suggest that you have a prompt assessment with your internist or urologist. Firstly, a urinalysis will be able to ascertain that this is indeed blood in the urine. Also, underlying infection has to be ruled out. Other significant findings like the presence of cast and WBC needs to be determined. A 24 hour urine sample collection is necessary to exclude proteinuria which is indicative of kidney disease. A kidney ,ureter and bladder ultrasound may be necessary to rule out bladder disorders, stones and other structural disorders.
Hi, you did not mention any fatigue or pain before, during or after this happened. I had all the above plus blood in my urine as you did and it turned out I had a 1cm kidney stone lodged in my urethra and my kidney was under distress. I had to be operated on right away.
You need to see a doctor ASAP. If you have a bladder infection, then you need to be on medication before you end up with a kidney infection.
