burning urethra after stent removal

after a year back and forth to the Dr and ER I finally was diagnosed withymy first kidney stone. I had surgery where he took the stone out and placed a stent to help healing. I had my stent removed last Tuesday in office, wasn't too bad. A couple hours later I was back in the ER curled over in pain with what turned out to be bladder spasms. That has stopped but now for like 3 days, off and on, every few hours my urethra (I think that's what it is, it's right where my urine comes out) burns terribly. Is this normal after stent removal and if so, when will it end?! Sick of being in pain! Thank you

Let the doctor know, not just the ER.  You can take Azo-Standard or Pyridium for the pain.  It is an anesthetic that will turn your urine fluorescent orange, but it will relieve the pain for about 4 hours.  Wear a pantiliner.
