Glad everything worked out and you were able to get this problem under control. Too bad they didn't figure it out with your first hospital visit.
Take care.
Thank you so much for your concern and advice. I endedp up at the hospital again ( different one) and the gynecologist checked me out and did some tests, and it finally came down to be just a simple irregulation, which really I thought it was something else worse, thank God.. After the two blood transfusions I got, I didn't need any other, with just a simple Loestrin 24 Fe ( Birth control pill) prescription everything was back to normal in less than 24hrs.. The Dr. said the pills will help to regulate everything, because of the hormones.
Wow, I can't believe that. You might want to call the gynecologist on Monday, just to see if they can get you in earlier. You may even need to speak to the doctor's nurse. If they knew the situation, I'd bet they wouldn't want to wait that long. I'm afraid you may end up back in the hospital with more blood loss and another transfusion.
You might even consider going to a walk in clinic this weekend.
I know, I left the hospital very dissapointed, because I was hoping to find out what is wrong with me to stop the bleeding at least. However, all they did were blood tests, checking for anemia and pregnancy, it came out that I'm anemic due to the excessive bleeding, so I ended up getting blood transfutions, and that's pretty much all they did. The doctor there, recommended me to a gynecologist in the area, to seek diagnosis immediately.. And I'm still waiting, I guess I'll have to go on Jan. 12.
You're so welcome. Sorry to hear about your bout at the ER. It seems strange to me that the are going to make you wait. Did they do anything at the hospital to help stop the bleeding (like prescribe medication)?
Thank you so much for your help. As a matter of fact, I had to go to the ER last night due to excessive bleeding, and found out I was anemic due to the loss of blood, and therefore got blood transfutions.. However, I still have to wait until Jan. 12, because they won't do anything at the hospital. Thanks.
I'm not sure if you meant to post this on the luekemia/lymphoma forum, but I will try and answer your question anyway.
I would definately call your gyn office and ask to speak to the nurse. I'm not sure if this is normal but I thinking waiting until Jan. 12 is too long to go if your bleeding that much. I'd be afraid of becoming anemic (if you aren't already).
