Fever from past week and swollen node
I am 22 M. Feeling feverish from the past 10 days. And getting fever around 99.4F from the last week. Also i recently discovered a node has swelled up in groin area left side. Also having an abscess on left buttock which itself has ruptured and pus is draining. Also feeling slight congestion in throat. What's causing the fever and why node swelled up.I heard that low grade fevers could indicate something serious. Plz help i am worried. All my blood works (CBC,LFT,KFT, Thyroid, Blood sugar)were normal 1 month back.

Hi, there's no reason think of a cancer.
But you should probably get to a doctor for an antibiotic prescription. The infection in the abscess is causing the fever and the enlarged node, and you want to avoid ending up with sepsis - which can be very dangerous.
When a node enlarges, it is almost always because it is fighting an infection.
