About SGOT and SBGt

Hello
Yesterday i go for liver test. The SGOT is 450 and SGPT is 466. Alkaline Phosphate is 283. I  want to know about condition of my liver and suggestion for treatment. I don't feel any problem in routine life. Everything is good. But sometime(with in 3-4 month) sweat start coming out from my body for 2-3 hours and i can't stand my self. If i try to stand i just get down on the floor. This is the only problem i face. I am a regular drinker. Please suggest me.

Thanks
Arvind

Your liver enzymes are moderately elevated and show a hepatitis type of pattern. Your ALP is elevated as well which reflects biliary issues but this can happen when your liver lobules become inflamed, causing compressive stresses on your bile ductules and canaliculli. Has your doctor run the viral hepatitis tests yet?

Backing off of the alcohol for a bit will help the diagnostic process. Whether or not you have been doing enough to cause trouble is something that you and your doctor can resolve. But your liver enzymes do not show the profile of alcoholic hepatitis, so that's good. Regular amounts of alcohol can lead to fatty liver and these numbers do for that profile. However, only your doctor can diagnose things for you, we cannot.

Another possibility would be autoimmune hepatitis. Your doctor will likely screen for that as well. You'll need some blood antibodies tested like ANA and ASMA, etc. This is uncommon but does need to be ruled out.

Let us know if you do get more data and are unsure of things. Take care and hope some answers show up soon.
