if someone had acute hepatitis (i didnt have symptoms, just in case),
then recovered before it turned chronic , can he still infect others after that?

or recovery = no chance of infecting others ?

thanks in advance

thanks very much but i didnt understand 1 thing:
if the person is in luck and "cures spontaneously" before chronic,

if there a chance he'll still be infectious afterwards?
or cure = totally cured with 0% risk to infect (unless he catches it again)

thanks in advance

Hello,
Hepatitis B virus is transmitted by exposure to infectious blood or body fluids like semen and vaginal fluids .A positive hepbsag means that a person is infected with hepatitis B virus. This can be an acute or chronic infection. Most of the cases of hepatitis B cure spontaneously and may not require treatment. Individuals who remain HBsAg positive for at least six months are considered to be hepatitis B carriers .Carriers of the virus are further tested for HBV DNA, serum alanine aminotransferase to see if the person has chances of developing chronic liver failure. The long term complications are cirrhosis, liver failure, hepatocellular cancer etc. Do keep me posted with more queries.
Best wishes and kind regards!
