MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi there. You have an intrathoracic mass in left upper lobe of malignant character. The lymphatic drainage of lungs include a rich lymphatic supply consisting of pleural and parenchymal network. The pleural lymphatics course over parietal and visceral pleura and drain into meidal aspect of lung nearthe hilum, where they anatomize with the parenchymal lymphatics. They all drain into intralobular, interlobular and hilar nodes and the same path is responsible for tumor spread from lung to the hilum and thence to the mediastinum.  Left upper lobe tumors drain to the subaortic and paraaortic nodes. You will need a PET scan and a possible transthoracic biopsy to confirm malignancy. atheromatous aorta is an accumulation and swelling in artery walls made up of macrophage cells and debris composed of lipids and calcium. This is seen in atherosclerosis, one subtype of arteriosclerosis. This can cause a heart attack, stroke, kidney failure if affects the kidney arteries and amputation if arms or thigh arteries are affected. Consult a physician for evaluation of both the conditions. Hope this helps. Take care.
