Hi,

Early cancer generally has minimal to no symptoms at all. In contrast, advanced cancer, has the capacity to effect almost every aspect of the human body’s regulatory processes. Mostly, the image that people have of cancer is that of the advanced stage, in which there is a patient who is thin (this is due to the cancer releasing mediators that make food absorption and utilization less effective), pale (partly due to nutrition, partly due to the cancer occupying spaces where blood cells are being developed), and moribund (may be due to both of the above, may or may not be related to a visible tumor present within the brain).
Most of the improvements in outcomes at present are due to the treatment in patients who have early disease and would have minimal or no symptoms at all (consider breast cancer patients who undergo surgery because of something found on a mammogram which is essentially an Xray of the breast, and yet some of these findings have no symptoms at all).

Hi,

Doctors do make mistakes.
For the case of making a diagnosis of cancer on an X-ray, that diagnosis is only presumptive. This means that the chances of error are high enough to warrant performing a biopsy (which is more invasive as far as tests go compared to taking images such as an X-ray).
The issue you need to discuss with the doctor is the need for the biopsy and specific reasons why this does not seem needed.
Hemangiomas may occur in the lung, but it is more common to find hamartomas as benign findings.
Stay positive
