Hi,
I think there is enough reason to believe that you have metastatic disease. The only thing atypical with what you wrote down is the absence of liver disease. Most cases of colon cancer have spread to the liver before there is any involvement of the lung.
Of course the alternative scenario is that there is a separate lung cancer. However, the description sounds more like a metastatic pattern rather than a primary lung cancer.
While surgery for cure is not an option (this means surgery attempting to remove all the cancer) , you may need to discuss the new tumor on the colon. IF there is a chance that this will obstruct - there may be a need to relieve the obstruction, this may be done with scopes or with surgery.
Find out what treatment options are available to you. Likely you will receive chemotherapy and then as different problems come up- the role of surgery and radiation would be reviewed.
Stay positive.
It is Colon cancer in the lung but they say liver and galbladder clear the tumor in the lung has muliple small lesions along with the large one. About 2 weeks ago pappy had throwing up of blood. They said cheomo would slow it down but there is no cure and surgey is not a option. The first surgey for the 1 tumor in colon was in August it had rupurted his colon. At that time the scans only showed the cancer in the colon and they took out 6 inches of it. Now matised to lungs he refuses chemo or any treatments. Acutally he thinks they are wrong and nothing is wrong. I am stuggleing to deal with the things I have found on line and things the doctors said right now he feels fine and does whatever he wants to so he says he cant be that sick and the docotrs are crazy and wants his money.
