I read that 'worms/parasites' in the body become more active during a full-moon!!
- maybe the same goes for 'spirochetes'.
Its not a full moon but I feel the same, my hands are tingling a lot today, did anyone get jaundice looking eyes with it,
Seems late for a herx but as gorbs said maybe a build up of toxins.
I'm supposed to be doing the gluten free diet, but I'm cheating here and there. I literally haven't had time or felt good enough to go to the store and get gluten free foods. Oh well, I'll do better.
I also am supposed to be starting some new probiotics. I have been taking another brand though.
Thanks for the encouragement. Sometimes you just can't see that light at the end of the tunnel. Today, I am burning, feet, some in patches on my back and scalp. Ugh. I'm traveling this weekend too and will have to walk a great deal, that will be interesting!
I don't know if it is a herx either, but I do know sometimes I'll miss a dose (bad patient!) of doxy and lately I have NOT been missing any doses, so perhaps it just got built up in my system a little more and made me herx? OR, its just another rough patch just like before I had abx?
Who knows:)
It sounds like it could be 'toxins' building up in your body - are you doing all you can to de-tox.
Hope,
I'm still new to this herxing thing as well too. It may be a herx. I had what I beleive was a herx on around day 5 of abx. And then I had a nother flare at 1 month, and again at around 2 month. My dr said that it isn't uncommon to flare every 4 weeks. He did say however that the first herx usually occurs in the first two weeks of abx.
I'm so sorry you feel horrible. It is SO hard. I had a break down yesterday as well. My son was home sick and had a dr appt, I was feeling rotton, my house is a disaster, the laundry is sky high, etc... I emotionally and physically hit rock bottom. I usually just get through it and do my best, but I had to ask for help.
I called my husband at work in desperation and tears and he found a way to come home. He took both kids to my sons appt (who has strep), and went grocery shopping for me. I went to bed the second they walked out the door at 2 and didn't wake up until 615. I slept HARD, and woke up feeling a bit less overwhelmed.
My point, take it easy on yourself, and ask for help, or take some time from work to recooperate or rest.
I feel the same as you. When you're really sick you think it'll never end, but when your well, you think wow, I can handle this. It's mind boggling.
Hang in there... someone told me yesterday that lyme treatment is a marathon, not a sprint.
PM me if you need to talk :)
I've never experienced a Herx that late after starting a new abx. Not to say that it can't happen, it's just outside of what I can share.
I regularly flare during PMS, and sometimes just randomly seemed to hit a rough patch.
I do hope that it is a Herx and therefore productive.
