So okay heres another controversy the vote past to not allow sames sex Marriages ,what are your views it a hot topic here in LA there are people yelling on every street corner, and very fired up. Should be keep the Tradition of man and woman marriage or should we have people 'getting married. What are your views and what did you vote.

I saw a protest sign that spoke volumes--a gay man held up a sign that said, "Perhaps you would prefer that I marry your daughter?"
I don't understand why anyone would care if two people who love each other, and want to make a commitment, take a legal oath.

You have a point here...there are way more important things to worry about. I really dont have room to talk as i have been married and divorced 3 times!!!! My dad always said if i dont have to support them(finacially) then who am i to say what they can and cant do. He was generalizing all people in his statement. I thought about his comment and it is so true. Who are we to decide. Just my opinion. sara
Pushing morals based on religion aside, I don't see it my business to really make a point one way or another. As far as sexual prefrence and whether one should marry, I believe that's best reserved between the individual and God. If they have no problem with it, then it's pointless for anyone else to pass judgement.

The constitution does not grant rights. People are born with rights. Our constitution is a limited grant of power from the people to the government. When granting this limited power to the government, the framers explicitly set forth a list of rights they wished to protect. They did not make an exhaustive list, it includes those rights that had been most blatantly infringed upon by Britian. Having just thrown off British rule the foundng fathers had protection of those rights uppermost in their minds.

really isnt there worst things going on in this world for us to woory about and trey to change then worriung bout 2 people of the same sex who love each other from getting married....come on people they arent hurting anyone, and hey us straight people arent real good at it anyway whats the divorcen rate like 60%?? so who are we telling others that it shouldnt be able to do it
