My Mom is going crazy!!!

Hi,

She thinks that their kids hate her,
She spends most of the time on facebook,
She wake up very late,
I can't argue her, any discussion turns to be a yelling conversation,
A lot of tension at home,
She wants to live alone,
She has 3 kids, She was a journalist, now she lost her job, she's 49 years old

She still has her period, but is that due to a pre-menopause phase?

What should I do?  Am I in the right forum by the way?

Shes divorced,3 kids lost her professional job not to mention is 1 year off 50, just one of those things can be enough to stress a person out, sounds like its all been too much and shes gone into depression. Depends on the ages of the 3 kds too, I know personally teenagers are hard at times. At 49 it will be very hard to find another job especially doing what she is used to doing. She could also on top of all this have menopausal symptoms too.Best to have talks with your mum let her know ur worried about her, simply say, mum i know it must be tuff that u lost the job and its hard bein divorced with us 3 kids but u are worrying me lately and I feel you need to go talk to somone who can help. Also maybe u can talk to some close relative or neighbour about ur mum and get help

It definitely sounds as though she is depressed ... and she is coping as best as she knows how right now. She has lost her job, part of her sense of self and she really needs to talk to someone about what she's going through, someone that is not related to her. Whether or not she is going through menopause should be a topic between your mother and her doctor. Even so, I would walk softly and take it easy with your mom ... she just doesn't need any more stress or drama in her life at this time. I wish you all well, take care!
