Help me please

I am normally such a happy person, people used to comment on how I used to always smile and laugh. I am nearly 50 now and for the last 10 years I have noticed that my moods are getting worse and worse. I am so angry all the time, there are very few days now where I feel positive about anything. Its so hard, I am a practicing Buddhist and I know that my meditation helps me a good deal but I am taken sometimes quite suddenly by this quick impulse to rip into someone. Sure its annoying when others cheat, lie and treat you like you don't have a thought worth hearing but that never used to get to me. Now it makes me cry, I feel so alone and isolated. I want to scream and hit something its horrible and I hate being this way. Doctors don't seem to care, they give you anti depressants and send you home. Taking these pills only make you feel sick. Is there no help? Doesn't anyone care about we women at all? I am begging on hands and knees if someone knows a way to get real help please respond to my post. At nearly 50 I have had to put my life on hold, I don't dare take responsible positions at work I can't trust myself. I feel like my life has already ended.

Hi, you might want to have your vitamin D level checked.  Most people are deficient and that can cause depression and irritability.  If you get supplements, get Vitamin D3.  My health store consultant recommended up to 5,000 iu per day, taken with a little fat like peanut butter to help absorbtion.

I have heard that evening primrose is good. I am taking magnolia tablets which is a good mood stabilser as well. You can really notice a difference, but it's not a drugged existence. I once took zoloft many years ago and I like you stopped as it didn't work very well for me. I have heard of estroven...where do you get this? Is it available in the shops?

Hi, I here what you're saying and know how frustrated you feel. If you read some of my posts and journals you'll get some idea. Every night I go to bed thinking tomorrow might be the day I get my mojo back, or I'm all positive, and then I wake up and feel like I've been hit by a truck. I am living on anti depressants, pain medications for headaches and over-all aches and pains. I haven't been able to work since I had the surgery that started all this, 5 months ago and feel so dependant on people which is just not me. I'm always the strong one, the life of the party, the one who makes everyone feel better, and now everyone has just dumped me, obviously because I am not much fun to be around. Luckily I have a beautiful doctor, who makes me refocus, but it doesn't take long for that to just slip away. I know I'm the only one who can fix this, but every time I try, my body will send out some new pain, and it just flattens me. I have also always been interested in buddhism, but haven't done anything about it. Stay in touch sounds like we both need to take control of our lives,
cheers Maurita
