Adolescent Varicocele and Penis Size

Dear Medical Professional,

Since a varicocele is associated with lower testosterone levels, does the existence of a varicocele in adolescence significantly impact penile development and growth?

Thank you for your help!

It's not caused by low testosterone. It can RESULT in low hormone production and low testicular growth. It's thought to be caused by venous malformation/malfunction, which can be just bad luck.

If an adolescent has a variocele, it should be examined and treated, if necessary, by a doctor. Sometimes they just go away on their own, and/or don't cause any problems.

Thank you for your answer. I never Said that it would be caused by low testosterone but that it’s associated with it. A varicocele can impact testicular growth and hormone production. Since testosterone also influences penile growth I was wondering if a varicocele can
It does not affect penile growth at all.
