Hello Perplexed61,
I think your posting on the wrong question, just to let you know. You seem to be giving good information just on the wrong place!
You are nearly 60 years old. Your prostate should be swelling and showing the effects of BHP. It isn't prostate cancer and it does NOT turn into cancer. It is benign swelling/enlargement of the prostate. Frequent ejaculation, regardless of self induced or with a partner, combined with BPH, can cause a reverse ejaculation, which is when the semen ejects into the bladder rather than out the tip of the penis.
This is not in any way a serious condition, or a medical problem. It does not cause infection or any other PHYSICAL problem. It can be somewhat disconcerting the first few times. If other symptoms of BHP become of a more serious nature then see your doctor. The inability to urinate and empty your bladder can cause serious health problems.
See your doctor soon. He can perform what is called a TURP, Transurethral Resection of the Prostate. The doctor inserts a small tube into the urethra through the tip of your penis, and with small instruments shaves away prostate tissue around the urethra, allowing a full stream to return.
A catheter will be inserted which you will wear for two or three days, or until the bleeding has stopped. That is determined by the color of the urine in the catheter bag. When it clears and is only a light pink complexion then the site incision has healed and bleeding is stopped.
The procedure itself is painless since you will be asleep. There will be minor pain and soreness for about two weeks after the catheter tube is removed.
I hope this helps ease your worries.
