I have read so many stories on this site and just wanted to share mine. I am 26 years old. I have a healthy 7 year old at home and found out that I was 6 weeks 5 days pregnant again in early April. strong heart beat, no obvious abnormalities at that early stage. Unlike my first pregnancy I did not have many symptoms- no sore breast like the first time, no implantation bleeding, no nausea, no fatigue. I hear every pregnancy is different so I tried not to put too much thought into comparing my first time to this one. So Still uper excited, I shared the news with family, started thinking of ideas for a gender reveal only to go to an 8 week scan, measure 8 weeks 3 days but find no fetal heart beat. At that point, my OB started monitoring my HCGs and told me that I would likely miscarry. Sure enough my HCGs started dropping. With hope, went in for another ultrasound, no growth, no heartbeat. I was given the options of a D&C, medication to induce the miscarriage, or to let it happen naturally. I chose the natural route until 2 weeks passed, i still had no spotting/bleeding, no cramping, no back pain, no indications that i was going to miscarry and went in for another scan, no growth, no heartbeat. I then chose to take the medication to induce my miscarriage which sent me to an ER room because of the non stop labor pains i felt. I bled for about 3 weeks straight and finally my periods started to become normal again. I had a pelvic exam, blood work, and was given no explanation for my miscarriage other than possible chromosomal abnormalities.
Fast forward to September 1st, which would have been exactly 1 week before I expected my period (I have pretty normal periods every 28 days). I started cramping and bleeding heavy clots. This lasted for about 4 days and I thought nothing of it because sometimes abnormal things happened, i figured maybe it was just an early period. spotting started up again 5 days later. I took a home pregnancy test the 2nd day of spotting which came out positive to my surprise. I went to the ER to be seen, saw the rudest ER doc who told me my Hcg quant was 1832 I was pregnant but was likely gonna miscarry because of bleeding/spotting and this was it. I went home and cried my eyes out for about 3 days straight It has been 1.5 weeks since my ER visit I have had a few more blood draws since then in which my HCg quant has gone up but is not doubling like it should. I had my first ultrasound yesterday that I measured at 5 weeks 6 days which matches if counting from my last normal period in August, saw an IU gestational sac and yolk sac but no fetal pole. have not heard from my OB but I am not expecting good news as my quant did not go up much yesterday from my draw last week. Any advice, ounce of hope, miracle stories would greatly help!
