Bleeding in 5th week

Hi, I am 5 weeks and 6 days pregnant.  I have been bleeding since 5 weeks and 1 day. I have been to the doctor and they said I have to go for my 6 week scan tomorrow.  I experienced some cramping during the week, do you think my baby will be okay?

Steph- No problem. I have walked in your shoes and continue to so I just wanted to show some support and understanding. I will be thinking about you and your baby tomorrow. Good luck....

I had early bleeding with all my pgs so it is common. I also want you to know that you may not see the hb at your 6 wks scan I didn't with this baby and had to go back at almost 8 wks. If they don't have your dr check your hcg levels and then go back like 3 days later and have them drawn again. I always have low numbers but as long as they are rising things will progress. I'm sorry you have to wait, that is the worst part. I would try to relax and wait to see what your dr says. Make sure you are on pelivic rest. Best wishes to you and your baby....

I'm sorry to hear what your going through. I also bled at 5wks, I had a scan and it showed a small tear in the placenta I was put on bed rest until it healed. It could be a number of things. My best to you. keep us posted

I started bleeding at 5 weeks and 1 day, and went to the ER on 5 wks 6 days.  They told me I had a m/c...I am now 18 weeks!  I bled again at around 8 weeks.  It is like I get a light period.  Everyone is different and it is so hard to tell this early.  I hope you are just one of those women who just bleed a little bit.  Best of luck to you.

It's really impossible to say until you go in to the dr.  Some women are known to bleed throughout a pg, so there is still a chance that everything can be ok.

Best of luck.  Let us know how it goes tomorrow.
