How long after having a m/c can you get pregnant again?

Does anyone know how long after you miscarriage, you can conceive again? I have had a miscarriage about 3 weeks or so ago, and I don't know how safe it is to have sex..i really don't want to get pregnant right now!

I think every women is different.  I miscarried at 14 weeks, I had not medical intervention.  I just spotted, bled red, gushed, waters broke and my baby came out whole.  I asked the doctor straight after I miscarried when I could try again and she said whenever I wanted.

I decided to wait one cycle because emotionally I wasn't ready.  The next month my husband and I tried and I fell pregnant and I am now 14 weeks pregnant.  I think you really need to heal emotionally first because I know during the very early weeks I would have panic attacks and I was constantly worried.  I am getting better as each day passes.

doctors usually suggest a different time period depending on how far a long you were. i had an early miscarriage at 5 weeks with my 2nd pregnancy and they told me i could get pregnant my next cycle. however, with my first pregnancy i went into labor at 20 weeks and after my son died my doctor told me to wait at least 6 months. the same thing happened with my 3rd pregnancy as what happened with my 1st and they told me to wait at least a year because of all my losses.

you still can conceive meaning you are still fertile. but, just because you can does not mean it is healthy for your body. it always a good idea to wait, i would say at least a month to give your body time to heal (if you have a delivery or a late MC.) and time to get back to normal.. your cycle and hormones to regulate if you have an early mc.

good luck!

My OB told me to wait at least 3 months before trying again. She also put me on birth control. I started taking them last Sunday, but I stopped taking them today because they were making me really sick.

Once you feel up to it you can have sex whenever but use protection in some form because you can get pregnant right away. My OB put me on birth control pills for 3 months before I try to get pregnant again.

Hey there, you are able to get pregnant at any time after a miscarriage, I guess its much the same as after you give birth, you should still be very fertile , it may take a little while for your body to get back into the swing of things periods wise, but as far as I am aware you are able to concieve right after a miscarriage. I am sorry for your loss and I hope in the future you get what you want  all the best and good luck :)
