3rd Miscarriage
Well I am new but I just found out I was pregnant last week and have been getting my hcg levels checked but that was not good. I started at 36 then 42 then 50 today. This afternoon I started bleeding bad so I called the dr. and they said I am having another miscarriage. I have been through this 2 times before but had to have D&E's for them but this time they said my body should do it on its own since it started already. The last two times they weren't caught till I was 11 weeks then 9 weeks by ultrasound. I am really upset and confused why this is happening. The last miscarriage I had all the testing done and nothing was wrong. They said it was just bad luck. I am at a fertility specialist this time around and they are going to meet with me to talk on the 26th but I am so just out of it I don't even know what questions to ask. Any help would be great.
well the dr called last night and my levels still have not gone down. They made me come in for an ultrasound first thing this morning and have discovered that I have an ectopic pregnancy so they had to give me this medication called methotrexate which they use on cancer patients to stop the development so that I don't need to get surgery
well i went to the specialist today and all they can say is bad luck. We did all the testing and nothing is wrong with anything. He does want us to try again right away though and if the clomid doesn't work for me then we will move onto daily fertility shots.
well I am 27 and have had my tissues checked last time around. The first time I made it 11 weeks but the baby only formed to about 6, the second time was 9 weeks but again the baby only made it to about 6 and this time was 5.5 . Everything has come back normal but thank you for some of the questions. Thank you to all for the help I really do appreciate it. I am jotting a few things down for next tuesday. I am continuing to work while this is going on which I am not sure is a good idea. I work as a computer teacher at a special needs school so I am with children all day which is very hard but also helps a little.
hi chick im 28, will be 29 in oct miles away but just keeping feeling that my eggs aren't heathy with my last mc in march was only 5.6 weeks gone its didn't feel as bad as the one in dec because I was actually 12 weeks gone and I seen my baby and he looked for perfect and I buried him with my dad in the grave yard I have had it touch the last 5 years first my dad died to 3 miscarriages the only good things that happened was getting married and buying my house but the down fall of moving was not having a jobs Im currenly studying to be health care assistant, feel free to add me as a friend so we can have a chat its nice to speak to people that have been in the same situation because not many people actually understand how we are feeling not in hubby I find it showing when Im upset I like keeping this to myself but on these forums I can get things off my chest. What types of tests do you suggest? What could they show? How much will they cost? What do you suggest for women whose tests all come back normal? What are some of the most common reasons for miscarriage and how are those issues treated?
May I ask how far along you are with this one? Perhaps your RE can do a d&c on this pregnancy and run some tests on the tissue to see if that gives you any answers.
Age can sometimes be a factor. With me, I am 39 so my eggs are likely old and produce random chromosomal abnormalities. If you are over the age of 35, generally they say age may play a factor in recurrent miscarriages. Unfortunately there is no way to "diagnose" this sort of thing, other than having repeated miscarriages and nothing from any bloodwork or tests indicate another issue.
Also, you should not take the 35 benchmark as a definite. It is just a guideline. It isn't as if you turn 36 and suddenly you could have problems with old eggs.

Hi I too had my 3rd mc in march and my doc in the hospital done all relevent blood tests and ultrasound and said that all my bloods were normal but I will have to get the chromazone tests done with me and him but we have to pay for it before its too expensive for them to pay for it but he did say that there is not reason why I cant carry a baby to term
I too had a 3rd miscarriage in april and am going to see an RE june the 9th. Some of the questions ive written down to ask about are testing for blood clotting disorders (these are very commen problems) also folic acid levels, vitamin deficiency levels. I also want to know what the chances will be for a healthy pregnancy after this many loses and wanna be checked for possible luteal phase defect. let me know how things turn out at your appointment so ill know what to expect. I will have been waiting for 7 weeks.
