Hey I'm sorry for your loss. I have misscarried, but I don't have O negative blood. I'm O positive, but my sister is O negative and hasn't had a misscarriage, she had her first baby (Who has positive blood) and she just had the shots, I'm pretty sure you can get them as soon as you find out that you're pregnant, because she did (Because she was so sick she couldn't keep water down).
Thank you! Your advice has really been helpful!
Dear Fall21
I have spoken to a senior doctor at the hospital regarding miscarriage and having a negative blood type.
He confirmed that my blood of the blood of the baby can come into contact, but it's after the 12 week mark and onwards. This would not happen before the 9 weeks and under, this is the reason why women are given the shot from 12 weeks and onwards, this would wouldn't be the reason of your miscarriage.
I would suggest speaking to your doctor and asking for this to done as sson as possible, mainly for peace of mind and for when you next fall pregnant so then your not worrying making u feel confident and protected.
My mum had 3 children, am the youngest and she has a negative blood type, she was LUCKY there.
Sorry for ur loss
Rachel
