Pregnancy after a D&C

We had a miscarriage on Sept 16th and a D&C the next day. I have been reading a lot of posts about people not getting AF until months later. I did follow some advise from others about taking a pregnancy test to test HCG and it came back negaitve. I then took an Ovulation test and it came back positive. I am really worried that this may happen to me. What is usually an average to expect it again?

The reason why I am asking this is because in 2008 I had severe Pre-Eclampsia and HELP syndrome and had to deliver my daughter at 27 weeks. She survived for 16 days b/c she got an intestional infection (NEC) from being fed my breast milk before her intestines were fully developed. I had to have an emergency c-section where they did a transverse incision (horizontal) on the outside but a classical incision (vertical) on the inside. SO we were told we had to wait 12-15 months before we could start TTC. When that time rolled around he ended up being deployed since he is Active Duty Air Force. So after he got back we TTC and got pregnant. At 8w6d we had a dr. appt with sono and there was no bh.

This totally devestated us because of our first loss, we were so happy to be pregnant again. I am at a total loss for what to do and how to feel. Please help!!!!

The dr's said that I should wait one full cycle, but we should expect AF 4-6 weeks later, I have already tried a ovulation test and it came back positive so I think I will be expecting AF sometime in the next 2 weeks. She said that nothing should be effected to ttc again. She said 1 in 4 pregnancies have a MC. So I am just trying to hope for AF and then ttc again and then everything will be fine with the next pregnancy.

I am so sorry for your losses! You are incredibly strong! I really don't have too much advice, I did have a m/c followed by a d&c I was 11 wks! We had been trying for 18 months. They told me not to start ttc until I had one normal cycle, so we waited It took about 5 weeks. Will be starting clomid this month! Like you my hcg levels dropped off immediately. What did ur doctor say about ttc again and when?
