First period after M/C

I had a miscarriage 4 weeks ago. How long typically does it take for you to have a normal period again. I'm eager to try again, but can't until i have 2 normal cycles. I'm wondering if i should go on the pill to get regulated again, but will that decrease my chances of getting pregnant again?

Wow! you have such a great success story, and it's so comforting to hear abou *** considering i'm having such a hard time still coping with it. I just want it back so bad! Congrats on week 10. You have several more to come.

Thats great news! : )  we were ttc about 8 months when we found that i had a large endometrioma on my left ovary (no signs of endo at all : (   ) it destroyed that ovary, and i had the cyst removedalong with most of the ovary (the rest of it doesn't function now) so we went straight to an RE after that.. so thats been about 8 or 9 months.. got preg on the third month of fertiltiy treatments, we actually had everything in place to move forward to IVF that next month when we got preg! it was such a miracle.. only to come crashing down again! since starting fertility treatments with my one ovary, i've been diagnosed with LUFS (where my follies don't rupture) and mild pcos too! ugh and we discovered we had male factor (my dh's dr told him we would have to do IVF with ICSI) so the preg was just such a blessing... its been SOO hard to have gone through that loss! so its been about 4 months since our last treated cycle (we were preg for almost 10weeks) and we are back in the game, injections and all... wee! its been the most challenging stressful emotional process of my life! not one i would wish upon anyone!

as far as getting preg again after mc.. they say that you are more fertile after a mc! : )  My dr had no problem with us ttc immediately and lots of people get preg right after a mc and never even have a period! GOOD LUCK and i hope everything goes well!

My doctor did say my deta went down to 0 and that my body did a great job of taking care of everything it needed to naturally. thank goodness! How long have you been on fertility treatments? Is it harder to get pregnant again after a m/c?

so sorry to hear that you had to go through this! it took me about 5 weeks after the mc to have a period.. about three after the beta went down to 0.. our dr let us start ttc again immediately, but we had been on fertility treatments so we had to wait for one AF before starting those, which we are back on!  i don't think the pill will affect you either way, your body should regulate itself naturally though! good luck!
