Thanksgiving

Hello All,

First let me thank all of you who so warmly welcomed me as a Co CL! This first post my me in my new position I felt needed to be uplifting not a vent (I'm saving that for later, lol). Well, yesterday the perfect thing happened to share with all of you.

My son's girlfriend is in HOSA (Health Occupation Student Association) in high school. I received an email from the Executive Board Director to offer "sponsor me" as the girlfriend told the about what a strain MS is.

The HOSA Board offered to prepare a Thanksgiving dinner with a menu of my choosing, to be prepared and delivered to my house and set up. When we were finished, they would come back and clean up.  I was overwhelmed by their compassion and willingness to help those in need.  We already had made plans, so I will take them up on another offer help some time in the future.

The offer reminded me of all the things I should be thankful for.  I am thankful for:

My family and their ENDLESS support
My friends, especially the ones who come on a moment's notice (at 8am ) to mop my kitchen floor by hand before unexpected company suddenly called to announce their arrival
This forum for helping me keep my sanity during the diagnosis process and since
HOSA and their kindness
Many offers of transportation to various events
That my life has changed and in some ways has changed for the better and has taught me what is really important in this world.
I am still able to help others through this forum

I promise to be be more active when this still uncured UTI runs it's course. In the meantime I wish each of you a Happy Thanksgiving and a chance to stop and think what they are thank for.

Ren

Awesome story, it is amazing that there are people out there willing to help so much.

I am thankful for so many things that it would be hard to write them all down. I am especially thankful for my mom, kids, grandson and the most wonderful man in the world who has really went out of his way to learn everything there is to learn about this disease and now finally understands.

Like Lu this is one way to force me to clean my house but it is all worth it, at least I know one day a year my house is extra clean lol

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you

Thanks for the reminder that there is so much more to be thankful for than to grouse about.

I'll be thankful when everyone is here on Thursday, enjoying the meal, and not noticing that not all the little things that I used to do are not done.  It really is a favorite holiday for me, especially since it forces me to finally clean my house.

be well,
Lulu
