3T MRI cervical pics just for interest sake.

I know alot of people are having MRI's on 3T machines now or are looking forward to.  I just posted a couple of my cervical area where my herniations are and stenosis and so forth.  You can see where my cord is needin a little more room:(  Just thought I would post them for people who are interested in seeing the clarity on the 3T.  Even the films are extremely clear, actually they seem to show my injuries even better.  These are just two, out of about 85 i think.

Wow, that was so sweet of you and so nice of you to take the time to comment on my pics, I really appreciate it!  I am still having difficulty finding the source of all the lower extremity weakness that I had, it started in 3/09 and one day i just basically couldnt walk.  But all of my surgeons for some reason dont think that the cervical injuries are causing with lower extremity problems?? omg i dont know.  Thankfully over the past almost  2 months now, I have been able to walk again and the muscle weakness and paresthesias are relenting.  I can pretty much walk just like I could before, residual lowever extremity paresthesias.  Believe it or not the upper extremity pain and radiculopathy and paresthesias are being somewhat controlled with 2 epidurals i had in the cervical area.  Gonna have a trigger point injection in my pack next week.

Hopefully with these new pics and I go to the neurosurgeon next week, maybe he will say the cervical is the culprit. They are all trying to r/o everything and trust me with surgeons I appreciate that,  as they are just all to ready to cut.

But Heather arent the 3T pics awesome!  I mean i know that they are showing things we which werent there, but the clarity is amazing isnt it?

God bless you as well Heather, It was nice chatting with you and Im not sure what your symptoms and story is but Im assuming you have MS, and my heart goes out to you and all here that are suffering, but STRONG nonetheless:)

missy.

I looked at your cervical MRI's.  My gosh woman, you really have some impingement on the cord from both sides.  Is there anything the doctor's can do for you?  Since you say it's all the way down your spine, you must be in terrible pain.  What is your prognosis for the future?

These are really clear pictures.  I just had the brain done on a 3T at the beginning of the year and they were so clear and showed me lesions that couldnt be seen on a 1.5T

I am so sorry you are having all these troubles.  I can see why you are having migraines with the pressure that must be in your spine.  And I thought I had it tough.  Whew!

All I can say is God Bless you MIssy.  I wish there was something I could say to make you feel better about your situation.  You are one touch lady to keep on fighting the way you do.  Stay strong.  You are an inspiration to many.

All the Best,
Heather

yes please be very careful and follow instructions, I myself would want to be as close to 100% sure that it is safe for you.  Good luck, I hope you get cleared and have the MRI's that will benefit you the most:)

I'm so jealous..I want to be on a 3T...Haven't been on one yet. I think it might offer some answers if I was on one. My doctors are still fighting over this one because of the vena cava filter in my chest. I need to call the makers of my vena cava filter's phone number and find out what the truth is on the matter. My vascular surgeons office was kind enough to give me their number the last time they called.

Thanks
