Boo!

New and strange thing happening.  Along with aches and pains waking me up at night, I am waking up once per night with a jolt.  It is as though a balloon popped in my face unexpectedly or someone sneaked up behind me and said "Boo!"  It is immensely strong - startle reflex?  Anyone else familiar with this?
Thanks all,
MK

Yes! For me right now...my whole body...and my eyes fly open because it completely wakes me up.  Once, I thought something fell on the floor like a big book or something.
Thanks for sharing your experience.

OMG - I get those too - its strange.   But, Im not even asleep most of the time when it happens...but always laying down relaxed.  It could be an arm, leg, foot whole body - doesnt matter.  And I notice that when I try to make it happen, I cant - it feels totally different.  Also, it happens more when Im in a flare than when Im not...very strange...Is there a name for this?  I thought it was myoclonus jerks...no?  I would be very interested in knowing as it happens to me probabaly once a day, sometimes more.
Thanks Lauri
PS - Its not always a small jerk either...sometimes my whole body comes off of the bed!

I get that, but it's like there was an explosion in a dream.  I hear a loud WHOOOOOSH!!!!! and I'm startled awake.
