Hello all,
I am new to the site and I'm not asking for any of you to make a diagnosis, just tell me if my story sound familiar. I am 54, but started with symptoms about 6 years ago. I had terrible muscle spasms in my thighs. I was unable to stand up, sit down, lay down, really couldn't move at all. I'm no whimp, but I almost had my husband take me to ER because the pain was so bad. It lasted several hours and he actually had to drag me to the bath to run warm water over my legs. I have had 2 other episodes of the spasms since then. Also I have a large numb area on my right leg that never sometimes goes into my foot, but never really goes away. I have problems with pronouncing words and have dizziness that comes and goes (but not everyday). I sometimes have a sensation of cramping or tightness in my right ribs. And the fatigue is the most depressing part of all of this. I'm posting because just today, I started feeling like my right foot is in a block of cement, very heavy and some pain. This is what Frankenstein must have felt like with his metal platform boots:)
My GP ordered an MRI which had 2 small spots. I went to the Neuro who said he wasn't "impressed" with the spots, he did an LP which was negative. He has tested and tested and most recently did some Iron tests and ask me to come back in a month. I could cry. I feel so crappy. My question is, should I see a new neuro? Should I just push the one I'm seeing? Am I just crazy? Please respond if you can. Thanks.
