EMG Test. Starting to look for Answers.

I've had some weird stuff going on with my body the past 6 months, so I decided it's time to check it out with a doctor.  Right side muscle jerks, occasional inability to move my right hand at all, vision issues, frequent peeing, legs giving out when I walk... etc...
Anyhow,I have a EMG test coming up, and I'm curious of others' experiences with this test. Regardless what the DX ends up being, I thought this would be a good forum to ask about it. Does it hurt?  He said there would be multiple needles involved and that there would be discomfort...  so I'm honestly a bit scared.

I have had two EMGs, they were only mildly uncomfortable. Take care!

If you've had acupuncture at all, it's not that much different.  I didn't find it too painful.  Although when offered the option a second time during the diagnostic period, I refused (mostly because it wasn't necessary).

I actually am doing EMGs again later this month for a different reason, and I have barely thought about it.

I think you will do just fine, as long as you remember to breathe through it. Anything is more painful if you tense up.

Make sure you also see an ophthalmologist or neuro ophth about your vision issues.  During diagnostic time, symptoms should be seen to by specialists in that area.

I'm sorry you're having troubles and hope you don't spend too long without answers!
