Update on neuro notes

I got the notes...yea right.  There are only notes on 3 appts.  These are typed and not signed so they are not official.  Besides they are filled with lies.  He said my pin ***** test was normal.  He never did one.  He said my spine showed no tenderness.  he never checked.  He said my gait was normal.  He never watched me walk. He saud no mention of bladder or bowel problems.  I guess me telling him I had to pee constantly didn't count.  I could have sworn that was what I was talking about.   He said my planter reflex was decreased.  he never checked.

He did not mention I failed the Romberg test.  He did say I had SOME difficulty walking heel to toe.  Try I could not make the first step without falling.  He said my hips were normal 5/5.  My physical therapy eval says 3/5.

It goes on and on.  I am disgusted!!!!!  I just have to find the strength to address the problem.

This week has not been good.  Last week I dealt with fatigue all week.  Saturday I felt better,  I decided could clean house.  That was a huge mistake.  I hurt worse than I have in forever.  I couldn't even get through my PT exercises today.  By the time I was finished and I didn't do them all I was almost in tears.

I got a really good lecture from my therapist about what I had done.  I knew everything he said was true.  I knew better than to think just because I was having a good day I was able to do more.  Now I am paying.

Ooooh, sounds like he filled out the same template that my neuro's have used; they just fill in the blanks even if they haven't done the tests.

Somewhere in all that HIPAA stuff is the 5 rights we patients have, and one of them is to sit down and go over your chart and challenge the misinformation in there.  My roommate is asleep, or I'd ask her about it.

I've let some of that stuff go, lacking energy to fight it.  I did write a challenge to my current neuro, and she hasn't responded.  It's been a long time, so I'll have to do something about it soon.

I'm sorry about your pain. I think most of us have learned that lesson over and over, the one about the fact that you'll pay if you do too much,  even if you feel like you're able.  I did at physical therapy not long ago, when my p.t. encouraged me to try new exercises.  I'll discuss that with her after we discuss the pain and dizziness I've had since she worked on my neck.

Take it easy, and feel better, OK?

Hugs,

Kathy

Its so hard to not over do it when we get that rare burst of energy to tackle a project.  I hope you'll rest easy over the next few days.

As for the neuro, can you call and leave a message that you must have gotten the wrong notes mixed up in your file because of (list the discrepancies here) and give them the chance to get it right?  You must have wanted to spit fire when you saw the notes.

get some rest,
Lulu
