Court date done..now a SS Dr appt?

I had my court date a few weeks ago to determine Disability. I haven't heard from the atty yet. Right after my court, I got a letter from the SS dept saying I have a Dr appt to go to. Is this normal? I don't understand why a judge says they'll decide when I have to see someone else now.

Any advice?

Thanks!!
Kristi

It could be the judge needs more information than provided.  Why not call the court and ask?

I am on disability. I never had a court date, but they (SS) did send me to "their" Dr. I am pretty sure they almost always do this so that they get the opinion on what their Dr. says about your disability. Their Dr. found me disabled so I never had to go to court.

And Good luck!!!
