Brain MRI - sinusitis??

Here is my report:

Sagittal T1 weighted: axial T1 non-enhanced and enhanced, T2, and fat suppressed FLAIR; and coronal T1 enhanced sequences were performed. Axial diffusion weighted with ADC map were obtained.

Craniocervical junction appears within normal limits.

No abnormal suprasellar lesion is seen.

Vascular flow voids are identified.

7th and 8th nerve complexes show no lesion.

There is significant abnormality of both maxillary sinues. There is an almost 1 centimeter fluid level in the dependent portion of the left maxillary sinus. There is more signal within right maxillary sinus than left with differing signals probably reflecting ranges of proteinaceous content with question of some fluid. A mild amount of right frontoethmoidal signal is seen.

Ventricles are not enlarged. There is no abnormal enhancing mass or mass effect. Septations in the maxillary sinus abnormality are better demonstrated with enhancement. There is no diffusion restrictions.

IMPRESSION: There is no brain abnormality. There is maxillary sinus mucosal thickening and fluid compatible with acute or chronic sinusitis.

END.

Questions: This certainly doesn't explain arm and leg and vision issues. But what is right frontoethmoidal signal? I have the CD, goodness knows I can't make heads or tails out of the views. Anything to hone in on?

Thanks,
Suzanne

I can't find anything about this, other than that folks w/MS can get sinus infections.

I don't have a sinus infection.

I haven't had a sinus infection.

I don't even have my facial numbness in this region, it's off to the left by my cheekbone, and it's minor annoyance, not even classified by me as painful.

I think those are the air cells in the sinuses. So look in those spaces (around nose, under eyes, etc.).
