Hi and welcome,
There would have to be a reason behind doctors not assessing you for a medical causation of these issues, It's definitely possible your main issues are related to your history of depression, but depression doesn't give anyone immunity to illness or disease...
Depression is highly associated with fatigue and high levels of fatigue and depression will additionally lead you to be less interested in being physically activity, inactivity or deconditioning is suppose to be the most common cause of muscle weakness.
If you've been experiencing a prolonged period or periods of depression and it's associated fatigue, it will often additionally cause dietary issues, which can also cause add on fatigue, weakness and sensory issues eg anemia, hypoglycemia, obesity, vit B deficiencies, viral infections etc etc
There are far too many unanswered questions that I couldn't even guess if your symptoms are potentially a neurological condition like MS or not, there are so many much more common explanations for these types of symptoms, mental health only being one of them, so please keep in mind that whilst it seem like you have all the symptoms of MS, it's honestly more likely to be something else entirely.
Have you had any blood tests, neuro exam etc or even been give any type of explanation for what your experiencing?
Hope that helps........JJ
(((Hugs))). I'm assuming you've seen a neurologist. What is is/her plan? Will you go back in six months?
I would recommend a mental health referral. Depression is no picnic and it would be something treatable. Psychiatrists are also physicians and can actually be very helpful in the diagnostic process. Either that, or see a counsellor who specializes in chronic illness,
Have you had a good deal of basic blood work, plus an assessment for nutritional deficiencies? Have you had a sleep study done? Sleep deprivation can cause a myriad of neurological so including ones you describe.
I get weakness in my face and palate, and at those times I have to bump my CPAP level up even higher.
I have more reccomendations, but first want to hear what the neurologist's plan is so far, and what test results have come back.
