Just back from neuro visit

hey all,

I just wanted to let y'all know that my neuro agreed with the consensus here that my brain MRI is not particularly suggestive of MS. She wants me to follow up with the hematologist about the results of the ganglioside antibody tests, which apparently can cause nerve damage.

Then she thinks she wants to do a spinal tap and some nerve testing. But she also said she was surprised my sensory testing (where she did various things to my hands/feet to see if I could feel them) wasn't more abnormal if I have nerve damage.

Anyway, that's about all. I think it's good news that she doesn't think it's MS, but I'm still mystified what all my symptoms mean then. And of course she says she can't just rule out MS either.

Hi there,

Well, I'm glad no MS. But with what the Dr. saying that it can't be ruled out, means to me that she will continue with your workup.  That's a good thing.  YOu are not left w/someone who says - nope, don't know what it is, and you go along your merry way.  You are with someone who is ordering more tests, and will then make a determination - hopefully.

Hoping you get more answers very soon and that she's a keep for good.

See you around, right?

hi SM with no MS,  thanks for letting us know what the neuro said.  This is great news.  You really do have a MyStery disease.

Now just because that's what she told you, you realize you're still expected to be around here and help out, right?

Be well,
Lulu
