Week of December 13 - mid-way through the month

The weather forecast for most of the US sounds like this will be a good week to hunker down and stay indorrs.  Unfortunately, even with snow and rain, there are still jobs to go to and appointments to keep.

This is our weekly round up of activites so we can stay informed - so give it up... what are you doing this week?

best, Lulu

Aint no snow here!

Not much sun either lately, which is unusual..........nevermind. We can't have drought and bushfires every summer!

This week. Not much. Teenage son spending first week of summer holidays in bed with a sore throat thing.  A spot of gardening (all this rain we've had makes stuff grow, it's rather odd!) And I'm supposed to watch Shrek with my granddaughter, though her attention span is about 15 minutes so I doubt we'll see it all.

And I should go to my GP to discuss all the odd new shooting pains that are occuring in my torso. I don't think they are MS related.

Cold, cold, cold here on the east coast..brrr.
Been prepping for Christmas the past few days and missing my forum family throughout.

No doc appts, just almost end of the year odds and ends ontop of daily routine and dragging daily fanny through fatigue. We should have a pushpin dedicated to that as a given for us on our weekly roundups of goings on.

Cannot believe December is 1/2 way over :(

I'm just happy I don't have to go out in this.  Those of us in Michigan got hit pretty hard.

I have nothing this week except I would like to force myself to begin taking inventory of my glass and jewerly studio.   I just can't do it, I can't let go.

Today it's sunny and 67 degrees in Colorado Springs. I'm glad we missed the big winter storm.

I'm working all week.

Thursday we're going to a restaurant for a southern Colorado Nat'l MS Society Holiday Party.

Saturday I'm FINALLY getting my haircut.

Well, I'm really nervous about this week.

I have my neuro appt. tomorrow and am worried he's going to dx a seizure disorder and have my license taken away.

Then on Friday I'm having an echocardiogram done. Maybe, I'll see if the neuro still wants it done since the holter monitor check came back normal.

On the upside of life, I've gotten a LOT of Christmas crap done!

My sister from NYC arrives on Friday!!! Yippy!!!

I woke up with a cold, possibly from standing out in freezing rain without an umbrella? One day I will learn I am just like everyone else. I am gargling with salt. I just do not have time to be sick!

Tonight is an MS support group Xmas party. I need to start a painting of Pat, the lady who lets me ride her horses, favorite old horse for Xmas.

I have to wrap and ship family presents. I am trying not to worry about the money involved. It is bad when shipping costs become a financial burden, but they are going on to a credit card I have no hope of paying off. It has all kinds of extravagances on it like prescriptions, co pays, MRIs, groceries, and the like. My DH thinks I am kidding about not buying him a cool gift ( He is getting a pack of hanes undershirts) but this is reality, I am spending all my money sending gifts. I have a small credit limit. I wish Xmas could go away from gift giving it is too much pressure on everyone.

I do have some cat sitting starting this week to make a little money, but I need to fill prescriptions and make my monthly payment to Duke. Easy come easy go.

Hopefully I will kick this cold so I can go riding Friday.

Have a good week.

Alex

Busy work week.  Also have to work with my boss on the Doctor recommended accommodations.    They want me to limit my work to 10 hours a day with frequent rest breaks,  Seems reasonable to me.

I'm probably jinxing myself, but I believe this will be an easy week. No appointments for any of us.

I'm working on my schoolwork (to become a medical transcriptionist) so I can get ahead and only do minimal schoolwork while the kids are home for Christmas break. I had been stressing because I've heard that the section I'm working on (Orthopedics) is very tough. Well, I'm not finding it any tougher than any of the other sections, so now I'm stressing that I'm missing something big and doing it wrong. I guess I just need to stop stressing and what happens happens...but I sure am trying to raise my average above the 95.25% it is right now.

I guess that is enough procrastinating for me...time to get my elliptical workout done before the baby wakes up!

Happy Monday everyone!

This week I'm getting ready for my 11yr old daughter's visit. She lives in a different country from me and comes over to stay for as many of the holidays as I can afford to pay flights for - usually about twice a year. She doesn't arrive until just after Xmas, but I want to spend next week relaxing.

I also have a doctor visit to see the results of my cholesterol test last week.

And hopefully will be watching my youngest daughter start crawling...she's SO close! :-D

Tuesday: taking daughter for another operation, i'm $8,000 poorer lol

Thursday: another dopla ultra sound, trying to locate a problem that explains my vein engorgement, jugulars are the last. I hope they'll be ok with me just coughing up a lung in lou of payment, i'm all out of kidneys lol

Saturday: back to the optomotrist to check if my sight has got worse in 3 months, hope not, still trying to find a neuro-opthalmologist in my state. I'm going to request a referal to the eye and ear hospital, it will take months and months to get an appointment but at least its free and its there if I can't find a neuro-opthal close to home.

Some where in between will be a lot of sleeping, and Christmas shopping if I can

Off to the PCP for the annual well woman exam Tuesday, which is really just like my usual b/p checks except I have to take my shirt off.  The truly embarrassing part gets to be skipped, since all the interesting bits have been removed.

Ok so this week I have to get organised for christmas! I am now on my christmas holidays which makes life so much easier. ( Although we do have a christmas Carol event)

Monday finish any online shopping. Get christmas dec's out of attic.

Tuesday Buy christmas Tree (this could be stress full as it has to go on top of our new car which my hubby has OCD over).

Wednesday decorate said tree, and get kids party food for thursday (why I hear you ask)

Thursday 30 plus kids comming to the house to rehearse for carol singing event in our huge shopping mall (which would be considered pea size by american standards.

Friday I go back to have the botoxilin injection I had in my face assessed as to there effectiveness and possibly have some more. Then into the city to finish Christmas shopping and DH Birthday present (christmas eve how inconvenient).

Saturday ummm sleep. Did I really say life would be easier with no work!

Happy holidays lol
