MRI Results

The left side of my both went numb a year ago.
Since then I have had twitches and muscle spasms, dizziness, weakness on my left side, pins & needles feeling, headaches but, in specific spots only on my head (which feels like someone is drilling into my brain) and more.
My newest symptom was blurry spots in my vision for almost 3 months now.

I have had multiple MRI's, blood work, spinal tap, etc... done.  Still no answers.

I have been to the neurologist many times with no solution as well as currently seeing an Ophthalmologist.
The Ophthalmologist says the Neurologist has denied seeing anything on the MRI so far but, he wanted to see the MRI disc because it doesn't make sense based on what his tests are showing.  He said my eye test results show the same thing as someone with a Stroke, Aneurysm or Lesions.

I had a repeat MRI done & the new results said the following:
Multiple areas of increased T2 and FLAIR signal in the deep and superficial white matter of both hemispheres.
A few punctuate non-enhancing areas of T2 signal in the white matter of both hemispheres.

I would just like to know what all this means so, I can get fixed and feeling better.
It seems like the Dr.'s are having a hard time figuring it out & it just keeps getting worse.

Hi PL - Welcome to the group.

As immisceo said, we're not doctors. We can provide some info about the Impressions section of the radiology report, but the findings are a little hard to translate.

If your current neurologist cannot provide any answers it may be time to seek a second opinion

The most important part (for the layman at least) of an MRI report is the "Impression" or "Conclusion" section. You've written the technical bit from the "Findings" section. We're not medical professionals, so all we can really say is "they found something there", but not what.

We're pretty good at translating the Impressions part though! Just remember, a radiologist writes the report based on what they see, but they don't actually do any diagnosing. That's the neurologists' job.
