I was in your shoes when I started the rollercoaster diagnosis.  The brain MRI came back clean and they had about 3 months of looking at everything else til one doctor wanted the C and T MRI so he could 'see the whole picture'.   All my lesions are in the C and T spine.   Even with the lesions, they were still leaning towards Lyme because I showed antibodies for past exposure.  It took the spinal tap to finally clear things up and show it was definitely MS.

Good luck with your tests...  sometimes it can take a while, I know for me, they played diagnosis by exclusion!

Good luck and keep posting!

Yes, Sum is right on.  I had MRI's of my brain for almost 20 yrs with no lesions found. Finally done on spine and there they were. Especially if having lower numbness and tingling in you should talk to dr about spinal MRI.

I agree, also I read that 10% of people with MS will have a "normal" MRI.  I have a friend who had a normal lumbar too but was still finally diagnosed.  Dont give up pushing for an answer - have you had bloods etc to rule out other mimics such as Vit B12 etc?

Good luck

Was it only an MRI of your brain?  Was an MRI given on your cervical spine?  If not, I would suggest you ask for one.
