Tomorrow is Monday.....what's everyone doing this week

Ok, tomorrow is a busy day for me, so will start this post tonight for tomorrow (am sure its Monday somewhere in our forum land)

Am helping a neighbor cut quilt squares tomorrow plus making/grinding grapenuts for DH
Tuesday is my birthday and am hoping for Red Lobster, need i say why!
Wednesday is errand day (as payday is known), pick up prescriptions and hope to be retested for my UTI, I think, by my home testing, and as my MS symptoms have increased the last few days,
   that its back again, sigh
Thursday is MS dinner/speech; last week I cancelled due to the sleet and bad weather, this one in a different town
Friday is laundry and household chore day
Then I hope to have the week-end to myself!  Will have earned it.

Everyone have a good week, wherever you are

Thanks for the b-day wishes and happy birthday to you, Sarah!  I am at least going to leave for the day on Friday after our mandatory meeting.  Of course, it is scheduled from 1-2, so hopefully it won't run over like so many of them tend to do!

Hugs,
Minnie  :)

Yesterday I had my opthalmologist appt to see why a decrease in vision. He doesn't know why it's decreasing. With the new prescription (I just had one 6 months ago & new glasses), he can fix my decreased corrected vision from 20/50 to 20/30+ in my left eye & 20/40 in my right.

Tomorrow I'm going to see another breast specialist and they're also going to do an ultrasound to see if there's a large enough area to target for biopsy.

Thurs is my cardiology appt. It was just going to be a follow-up appt to a new heart med I started about 3 months ago.  Now it will be to see why I ended up in the ER last Tues morning. All of us sudden I felt weirdness in my chest and like I was going to blackout & really lightheaded. I was completely white, including my lips, then I had to lay down, otherwise I was going to pass out. My clothes were drenched in sweat. We couldn't get a BP reading for the 1st 5 min. Then after laying there for a little bit, finally got about 88/60.

I decided to bite the bullet & go ahead with the bone marrow biopsy. It's scheduled for next Thurs.

Looking forward to supporting my team at a local MS walk on Sunday morning. What a great idea, the walk is at a large mall so people won't have to dal with winter weather. I have a team of 6 people walking, all with many sponsors. I am excited at the support.

Wednesday brings my usual PT session. Now I just have to work out  insurance snags... Excellus says Medacaid is my primary and medicaide says Excellus is my primary.....ugh!

Happy Birthday Sarah And Minnie!

Have a great week everybody

Have PT on Thursday; my birthday is Friday. Wanted to take a vacation day but darn it, have a mandatory meeting :(  Reminds me of when my son was in elementary school. He used to think he should get to stay home on his birthday. Well, I happen to agree! :D

I hope you all are doing well and have a great week.

Hugs, Minnie

Drop off oximeter and get my bi-pap tuned in. (lower max pressure so mask doesn't lose seal)

Phone MS clinic to see what my neuro put on my file re rib pain I reported to ms nurse. (pretty much gone now)

Oh and Laura, may your shoulder injury be just a little muscle pull or something else easily remedied. If you spent yesterday in the ER, it must really hurt. Boo.

Still working on my fitness regimen. I survived 3 classes last week and hope to do 4 this week. Wears me out completely, but I guess feeling like a wet noodle is relaxing. Various other odds and ends going on to keep life interesting.

Happy birthday, anniversary or whatever else you're celebrating this week, to all. Maybe it's just a sunshiny day, but that's good too.

Big non MS week for me. On Thursday my new carpet is being installed. On Friday the movers show up! I will finally get to live in the apartment I've been paying for since December 4!

Kyle
PS I also have a Tysabri infusion on Sunday. It will be a welcome relief from the unpacking :-)

JB - ouch!  And I can totally understand since I spent Sunday in the ER having my should pain checked - the final verdict is probably a torn rotator cuff, but they weren't sure. I am on rest for a few days to see if it improved before doing an orthopedic referral.

My week should be quiet, but it won't be. Stitches come out on Tuesday.  Thursday/Friday were scheduled for a long weekend off, but I may have to work since I am loafing around now.  :-)

PD - sure hope the neuro has some answers this time.

Sarah - happy birthyday and enjoy Red Lobser.
hugs to all,
L

Y'know, john, I gotta wonder what 2 weeks of PT costs them, vs. any savings they might gain by denying so many MRIs instead.  Factor in the number that they end up having to cover anyway when the PT doesn't do the trick, the costs of all the appeals, etc., and...    Well, there I go again, expecting people and their organizations to act with consistent logic.

Best wishes, brother.

F/U visit with my PC for  my rotator cuff tear on Tuesday

I completed two weeks of PT on my left shoulder,  I fell backwards on my deck steps about 6-8 weeks ago.  my left arm was extended backwards and that broke my fall and my pride.  I waited weeks before even going to the Dr.

I went to my PC and he said I torn my  rotator cuff and didn't know  if it was partly torn or a full tear so he requested and MRI- that was denied by my insurance Co -Cigna-  Cigna  ( they hire a third to review MRI request)  said I should do two weeks of PT first.  PT is complete-

This is game I went though when I hurt my back at home, same thing do PT,  instead the Dr gave me the wink and said if gets worse go the ER-  which I did for my back.  that showed a swollen nerve and hernianted disc at L4-L3  which lead to surgery

Doing those darn taxes later this Week.

take care
John

Dittoes on the HB, Sarah.  Sounds like a full week.

I seem to have lost track of what day it is.  Today it's back to the weekday routine, I suppose.  I think I have another zoning commisssion hearing tonight.

Tomorrow afternoon is my long-awaited meeting with the neuro, requested a forgotten number of weeks ago.  I'm trying to manage my expectations, so as to avoid disappointment.  I want to press for a clear dx, of course.  I also want to ask about Provigil/Nuvigil, Baclofen, and upping my gabapentin dosage.  If dx happens, I am ready to hear his thoughts on DMDs.  I am tired of waiting -- over 4 years now -- and ready to do SOMETHING to fight my "Mystery Sickness."  (Assorted symptoms continue to intrude on my otherwise charmed lifestyle!)

Last night, I looked through a handful of MRI slides I'd recently picked out from the hundreds taken last Fall.  I see the lesion above my right ear, which has been there since Lord-knows-when.  I see a handful of other white spots that, in my totally amateur opinion, look similar but smaller.  These are scattered forward of and below the bigger one, but still higher than the level of my eyeballs.

Radiologists' reports over the years haven't mentioned these smaller spots with enough specificity to know which were seen & which not, but these particular ones look "new" to me, and they look different from the (somewhat) periventricular ones in an earlier series, which could have been Virchow-Robins spaces.  Of course, the post-gad views are all axial, and I spotted these in sagittal FLAIR views, so I can't really check each of them for any enhancement.  I guess that's why these folks get to charge so much; they know so much better than we do.

Well, I wouldn't want many of them doing premarital counseling or answering important theological questions, either, I suppose.

OKay, enough about me.  May God bless each of you, and grant you a joy-filled week.

Well hoping I find out if I have Health Insurance by the end of this week!  They are at their limit of days for a decision!  Then when this gets decided I just may be able to get my MRI in this lifetime!  Keep fingers crossed for me friends :). I did set up a out of pocket visit to a new Primary Physician in Arizona :) seeing her on Tuesday and she had wonderful reviews about her, talked with the office and gave them some info with out full detail and they were great!

Hoping to spend a little time at a beautiful trail this week.  I haven't been in a while due to flare ups so gonna get my butt there for a little me time :)

Have a awesome week to all of u !
