Funded by The Nancy Davis Foundation for Multiple Sclerosis, The Nancy Davis Center Without Walls (CWW) program has provided support that has permitted the medical community to link together multidisciplinary scientific programs and expertise across the country to advance the understanding of the cause of MS and to develop new treatments. The Center is a break-through success because of the vision, insight and flexibility of these extraordinary doctors. The Center's theme is simple; communication - doctors working together toward a mutual goal. When this goal is reached, all will share in the victory.

The Center's network of the top seven MS institutions that have established leading, innovative research programs include:

Brigham & Women's Hospital, Harvard
Howard Weiner, M.D.

Johns Hopkins Hospital
Peter A. Calabresi, MD

The Mellen Center, Cleveland, Ohio

Through research supported by the Race, truly revolutionary breakthroughs in genetics and immunology have been made possible at the CWOW. These breakthroughs create the potential for the development of more effective drugs against MS and give promise for a cure in the near future. "

There is also the big annual star-studded fundraiser on May 2.  Tickets start at $1000.

I was thinking I might try to go next year.  It would be fun to hobnob with the rich and famous for a good cause.  It's a lot of $$$ but is a donation to a great cause.  Just not sure if I can talk my husband into it.  $2000 for the two of us.  Yikes.  And that's after airfare and hotel.  Hmmmmm........  One can dream.

The journal is from the UK but publishes article submissions from all over.

I heard about the roundtable and fundraiser from looking into Nancy Davis, who wrote "Lean on Me" and started up the foundation several years ago.

I think I have probably seen them cover the fundraising event on ET in the past, however it wouldn't have resonated with me, pre-dx (how self-centred).

I noticed on the invites to the fundraiser that the required dress is "Hollywood Glamour."  So that pretty much seals the deal that I won't be attending next year, even if I can set aside the $$, what the heck would I wear?  And there's no way I could talk hubby into going to any such event!  (trying to picture my long-haired, tatoo-laden, jeans-only wearing fella in a tux; can't see it, even though the long sleeves would cover the ink!).  However if Metallica were to play the show, that would be a different story.....
