Last week and this week were kind of rough. I'm having issues with my son and they have me pretty stressed out. I am really swamped at work....more stress.
I have been fighting a stomach bug the past few days. I took today off of work and spent it in bed. I'm forcing myself to go in tomorrow. I'm so tired.
Saturday is the MS Walk, then my son is supposed to dance at the Relay for Life. I have a B-day BBQ to go to and then I am supposed to chaperone prom that evening. Let's see if I last that long.
Let's see, I cancelled two appts. for this week. But, I did call my family doc. to inform her of my test results on the VEP and EEG, I told her what the neuro's statement was on the report stating demyellinating process and then told her how he only mentioned central sensitization....
she wanted me to fax her my report right away and was going to call this neuro to find out what is going on.. YaY!!! I couldn't do the fax because I just can't figure out what is wrong with the connection and it will not fax anything, sooo .... I will have to call her back tomorrow.
Tomorrow, my son has a baseball game, Thursday... nothing, and Friday kids have dental appt. I need to catch up on some sleep, this fatigue is killing me!!!
Going to see my MS Specialist tomorrow. Told him about my "kidney" pain (now I'm not full of $hit) that's been going on for 11 days now. I told him about my gait yesterday too. He was going to refer me to the movement specialist tomorrow, but that is the one who performed my LP and I dont think too much of her at this point.
That's it for now.
just working. get my truck inspection so I can get my tags renewed.
somehow have to work through boxes and get rid of stuff and figure out how to get things to my brothers. I want a real bedroom lol.
I'm working all week.
Then Fri morning taking my partner to her HIDA scan to check out her gallbladder.
Fri also getting a tune-up on the 4Runner.
Saturday getting a tune-up and my winter tires switched out on my Volvo.
And possibly going to try to give our husky a BATH. She doesn't know it yet... ;-)

This is my last week of in school classes. I still have my online classes but won't be going to campus after tomorrow.
No doctors appointments as of yet, need to call my PCP and discuss some issues I am having with my kidneys.
Planning to get out and start the garden soon, if this weather would ever clear up!!! Geesh this rain and cold has to stop sometime soon.
Wishing everyone a great week.
Paula
Prom? Shell I'm sure you have your pick of the boys to go with. LOL
Tammy, good thing we have kids to keep our lives busy. What would we do with a quiet moment for ourselves? :-)
Prom prep week (I think I should be able to go @ this point, lol) and work, and the lot of the rest of it. Loans for college (again, why can't I go too?). All the usual jammed inbetween.
Wishing a smooth running week to all.

Well, I have an appointment, with my Neurologist tomorrow.
It's been difficult going to see him, since I have no medical insurance, so everything is "out of my pocket", about $50 a visit.
(I'm in no hurry for 2011 to be over, but I will be eligible for Medicare, in January 2012.)
I know, he really wants a follow-up MRI (my last one was in November 2009), and follow-up blood work (again last done in November 2009).
I would certainly like to know, if I have more or less lesions, and definitely like to know if the, then "walnut sized" cyst, has grown or not.
We may just have to wait, until Jan. 2012, to find out those answers.
I know, I will ask him about my "gate", he gave me a Rx, for it, and it has both helped and hurt my "gate". I have began walking awkwardly (by unconsciously walking, as though trying to "walk a straight line", i.e. placing one foot directly in front of the other), so I want to know if that means, I need to increase the dose of the Rx, or what.
That's what I have "on tap" for my week.

I have a call into my neuro. He's usually pretty prompt in returning calls so I expect to hear from him tonight or tomorrow morning.
I have had left side cold sensations on my arm as well as tingling, "pins-and-needles", numbness and achiness. Now I have added pain to the list and I'm getting cold sensations on my right side now. That's the part that is really bumming me out. I had not had one bit of "bother" on my right side. It was my good side. Now it seems it wants to join the party. To further add to the fun, I was not not having any cold sensations / tingling / numbness, etc on my torso at all. I had what may have been a "hug" or may have been a muscle spasm or may have been just a cramp last week (or was it week before? I can't remember....) just under my left ribs but no paresthesia at all on my torso. Last night, my entire right breast went freezing cold like I had dunked in it an ice bath.
So my week now consists of waiting for a phone call from the doc and hoping he will see me soon.
I don't know if this topic was supposed to be for whining but I think I just made it a whine fest. Sorry! :(
My neurologist moved out of state last month. This is my 2nd neurologist that have moved out of state in the last 4 years. I will be seeing his predecessor in the same office on Friday. He is younger neuro which makes me a bit nervous. I like the older neuro's with LOTS of experience.
Wish me luck. The only thing I ask of them is if I need them, that they be there. I'll hold them to it too. :-)
Alex - visualizing healing helps me.
Calling Doctors, waiting by the phone. E-mailing same Doctors. Dropping by same Doctor's offices. Hoping for more improvement in the mean time. Trying to visualize where it hurts and heal it myself. Sounds goofy but hey. Luckily the pain moves so that has to be a good thing.

My coworker and I were just talking about going home and lighting a fire in the fireplace. The chill in the air is unbelievable for May - my furnace definitely was running.
I have a echocardiogram tomorrow afternoon, followed by a massage. :-)
Thursday is a wrap-up luncheon for some GO RED for Womens Heart Health committee work.
I hope both you men are ok in the foot department later this week. Getting the cast off should feel great and I hope putting the brace on will be helpful.

Well I have no idea what will be going on here this week. Mostly because I'll be waiting by the phone waiting for the VA to call and let me know when my foot brace is in. All that I know is they told me it would be in this week.
I hate waiting for phone calls as you can't really do anything else while waiting. Especially since I also have to call my LTD about my disability form some time this week. As of last week they still didn't have it in their system. I sent it in almost 1 month ago.
BTW what ever happened to SPRING? It have been more like winter weather here for a couple of weeks it seems. And I live in the south!
Dennis
Tuesday I get the cast removed from my right foot-- then I'll be placed in a boot for four weeks- I can start PT after that ...
I really think since ankle surgery my balance is worse . I know for sure in a few weeks..
Cool weather here all week 60's
Take care
