NeuroVisit

Well, had the longest neuro visit in a long time; an hour with the nurse practitioner (who is also an MS pt - so we could truly relate) and then with doc.

They feel my MS is stable enough for once a year visits (YEAH) instead of twice a year!  They did put me on Brintellix, the practitioner felt I needed it and asked if I would try it.  She must have picked up something from our conversation.

They still want a sleep study, even tho the cardiologist was happy with the overnight results.  Doctors!  I'm going to let them fight it out between themselves!.  So two more dr visits in the next 2 weeks and hopefully am done for awhile.

Picking up Diesel this morning; she stayed home due to the fact that I was gone almost 4 days.

End result, if I wind up in the ER from a fall, CALL, if flare returns CALL.  I "think" I can remember those 2 !!

I've had this neurologist, for years, Joiedecour, and being a retired nurse, they know that they will get feedback if the med doesn't work, etc.,.  I've been going every 6 months and due to the mileage (465 miles one way), I'm thrilled that I can now only have to go once a month.  When I was first diagnosed, I went 4-5 months in a row.

Dog and I were thrilled at being reunited!  She will make a good service dog, but still has a lot of puppy in her, according to my dog sitter.

How do you feel about being prescribed meds without follow-up for a year? I guess it's good news though if they think you're stable enough to go for a year!!
Enjoy your doggie welcome back home  : )
