Nerve Problem?

I have had these problems for years but I was told none of it was normal. I get random burning/pinching/itching pains randomly on my arms and legs. My legs give out on me randomly. I have chronic back pain that worsens with activity. My right leg goes numb and my toes sometimes go completely numb. Occasionally my hands are difficult to use I also cant stand for long periods of time, if I do I get really dizzy, hot, and shaky. I have been to many doctors and non know what could be wrong without doing a spinal tap. MS has been brought up but I dont really know what to think of it all.

Thank you for responding! :) I have been to tuns of doctors so Ill try to sum it up...

Due to money issues and I haven't been able to see a neurologist recently. Everything really started to flair up my freshman year (4 and a half years ago). I played soccer at the time and eventually had to quit because my back pain was so severe and my legs hurt to bad to walk at some point and this lasted for weeks. One night my parents decided to take me to phoenix children's hospital because my petiatrition said she thinks all of my symptoms sound like MS. While I was at the hospital I had an MRI of my brain and no leasons showed up. Due to the fact I didnt have any leasons doctors didn't want to do a spinal. I left with the hospital with no answers and the doctor saying it was probably all in my head. A few months later all my symptoms got worse again and my parents took me to a different hospital and again I left with no answers. About two years ago I just decided to let it be and see a pain specialist. I had the nerves burned off on my spine (I dont remember what that procedure is called) and that only numbed my skin. After that not working the doctor just wanting to prescribe painkillers so I left to find another doctor. I went to Mayo Clinic and saw some doctor that told me he has no idea whats wrong and to see what happens later on in life. I also have hip displasia and I was told this would have nothing to do with my other symptoms. I have been told that doctors dont know whats wrong and to just see what happens to many times and Im sick of it!

If you would like me to go into more detail about my symptoms I can also. I hope this sums up my past medical treatment/history.

Hi there,

Thanks for joining.
Are you under the care of a neurologist? And, have you any imaging of your CNS? I'm guessing you have since spinal was recommended. But tell us if you can what has been ordered so far.

As you may know, nerves are effected in MS, but this is not the only cause.  You definitely have something going on and if you feel comfortable to do so, please tell us a little bit more so we can help you out with some next steps. None of us are all knowing, but collectively we have decades of experience and knowledge that we can share with you so you can decide how to proceed.

Hope to see you around!
