"Neurologically stable"

Well, like Fluffysmom I have been dismissed.  I signed a release to get the final report from my Neuro (he has sent me back to my GP). I was discouraged after the last visit, but now I'm mad.  Are the Neuro's flipping stupid, or do they just not listen?????  I had complained about my foot feeling heavy and achy.  He reports that to my GP with no explaination, then stated that the numbness in that leg had resolved.  What the heck???  I didn't say that!!!  Now he's just making stuff up.  Or he wasn't listening.  The numbness in my leg has been a constant along with the fatigue.  No comment on the tripping, the falls, the spasms in legs, feet and ribs.  He thinks my speech is normal,  when in fact I hesitate, mispronounce words, say the wrong words, and sometimes while talking, a word completely unrelated to what I am saying just pops out.  But of ot course if it doen't happen in front of them,  the problem doesn't exsist.

I posted about this earlier, but getting this report set me off.  So sorry.  I am unsure what my GP thinks.  He DID think I had a deep brain problem and mentioned MS,  but I am afraid he will question himself after the Neuro report.

On a side note,  the Neuro says the spots on my brain are related to migraines.  And my legs are tired because I have restless leg syndrome.

I think I'll pursue the Neuro in Palo Alto.

Sure hope I'm not crazy (!).

Thanks,
Sally

This is why I number my neuro's.

If the neuro doesn't fit, then you must the neuro quit!

AHHH!! How I know how you feel.  So sorry you're going through this. And for the neurologist to state that symptoms have gone when they haven't is just plain wrong. I really dont' think he was listening. I know my neuro wasn't.   I am burned up now.  I got home after my last appt. (went by myself, now I wish I had brought my husband) and I realized I never even got around to mentioning my constant leg cramps/muscle tightening and the muscle twitches up and down the left side of my entire body.  My neuro basically kept interrupting me so I never got all my symptoms out. He was too busy dismissing everything I said.  Why do they do this? I wish I knew. This is so frustrating when you know something is clearly going on and they treat you like you're either making it up or it's in your head. GRRRRR!!!

Lulu-LOL......oh I got it!  I try to be on my best behavior here,  I tend to be a potty mouth :).

Rena,  thanks so much,  it is such a help to have people to vent to.  The frustration of   speaking with an educated person who totally misinterprets what you are saying  is beyond what someone outside of this site could understand.

I've said before that I was more fearful of limbo land than the diagnosis itself. And the nightmare continues......

Blessings,
Sally

in case you wonder, it edited a word that means doo doo, but begins with a c and really isn't a bad word at all! :-)

I am so sorry that you are another of the unfortunates that ends up with an assinine twit for a neurologist...I can relate but I know that doesn't alleviate your anger any.  I am not a good one to come to with problems with a neuro because I have an evil one myself but I certainly hope that you have a gp that will understand what you are saying and will go beyond her own little world to find you the help that you need.  Please stay in touch and let us know what the gp has to say will you?  We are all interested and would like to be able to advise you if we can...I am sure someone will have something to offer but all I can offer at this point is my condolences.

Lots of gentle Hugs,

Rena

Sally, First of all if you are crazy, wouldn't you like to know?  LOL

This is **** that you have been dismissed like this with all those symptoms.  Is a second neuro possible?  I hope you have a good relationship with your GP and can explain everything again and being the process anew.

I am sure sorry to hear tht you have no answers to your symptoms.

My best,
Lulu

Sorry, it's Deej70 who got the same song and dance I got.  Fluffysmom was the lucky one who actually found a Neuro who listens.
