LOL!! You all gave me a good giggle! Thanks! And if I'm giggling on the same day as seeing a new doc for the first time, it couldn't have gone to badly...
Dr. Q does not doubt me. That much I know. And that is something. As some of you know, without positive test results, I have been doubted before, in the sanity department. Even with the last neuro I went to, for heaven's sake!
Dr. Q took my history, gave me a really good exam and said he wants to probably repeat some testing and also do a PET scan and SPECT(?) scan(?) of my brain. I have had a PET done, but am going to have to look up the SPECT or spect... He said there's something wrong in the brain. And he kept saying it over and over and over! All right, already!! I get it!
It was kind of cute. He said, There's something wrong in the brain. Does that make sense? (Yes) We assume that, but don't know where it is. DOes that make sense? (Yes) We can say there's demyelination or damage, but we have to findout WHERE it is. Does that make sense? (YES!)
I almost wished he thought I was crazy but NOT stupid! Tee hee!! He really was very nice and did explain things well....VERY well.
He also gave me a very lengthy exam. I was really pleased with the time he took and tested in ways I hadn't been tested before. I asked what he observed in the exam. He said my left foot is weak. My left leg is weak. There is mild weakness in the left side of my face. My reflexes were fine, but very brisk. He said I'm young, so they can be very brisk....OR when there's something WRONG WITH YOUR BRAIN they can be very brisk. LOL! I had balance issues as well.
All in all, it was a very good, promising visit. Oh, and he checked my optic nerves, because the optometrist was concerned. He said they were not enlarged, but a tiny bit pale. He wants a report from the ophthalmologist after I see her.
I hope you all are doing well! Take good care of yourselves!!

All I can think of is the Beatle's Revolution Number Nine. Maybe if you play this neuro backwards you will make sense of it all! Good luck.
Ha ha! Love potion #9!! Love it! "She bent down, turned around and gave me a wink..."
Sending good vibes for a good visit!
Yes, good luck! Love potion number 9! May this neuro be "the one'!
