Can I pick your brains a bit?

I am dx with RRMS (Jan 2010)

My neuro said I have 10 lesions.....well, I have looked over my MRI disc (over 350 slices) and find some lesions very easy to find....however, there are a few pics that I think look like there are some lesions, but I am not sure.

I have posted 3 slices on my profile page, and would love anyones feedback as to what you see, or think you see. I know we are not radiologists....I am just curious if anyone sees the same 'lesions' as I do.

Thanks

I'm not driving myself crazy about it, and it is not that I don't agree with the neuro. I have had a second opinion at a comprehensive MS clinic and they agree.....I was just curious!

So, if anyone has an opinion on the pics..I would love to here......Knowing that am not taking any comment as fact.

Thanks :)

Thank you for your link Daisy Girl
I'm a nurse, but I still couldn't find the lesions my neuro said are there (I spent an hour staring glassy eyed at my computer trying to count things I thought might be lesions to get his total)
I agree with you...leave it to the radiologists & get a second, 3rd opinion if you don't agree or need the dx hammered home like I did :)

My brain is all picked out, BUT I have to warn you, and I know it's tempting, don't do it!

Takes a very trained eye to see what the radiologists see and they can manipulate those software tools like no body's business!

Belated welcome to the forum Daisy Girl - very glad to have you and I don't think we've met. If we have and I'm forgetting, I'm very sorry.

How are you feeling?

Hey, chica!

Well, sorry to hear about the diagnosis.  But welcome to the forum!  There's a lot of good people here.

Like many (including me!) you're intrigued with your MRI films, and want to figure them out.  I would recommend letting the radiologist do that.  There's so many different structures in the brain that they're accustomed to seeing, that you might be seeing as a lesion.  When really it's just a bit of bone, or a weird fold, or who knows!

I've looked at your pics.  The first one shows a possible lesion on the right side, at the back.  I didn't see anything unusual about the other two.

Here's a website that I've looked at a lot - it's got some great typical MRI examples, and will help you figure out what the radiogist is looking at.
