Off Topic...A New Boat!

Hey all...this is off topic but I am so excited I had to share!  We bought a new boat yesterday and I am absolutely stunned that we actually have a decent boat after all these years!  Both of us were overcome when it finally hit that it was ours and we can't wait to get it in the water!  However, we will have to wait until the end of May by the looks of things...we have had an incredibly COLD winter and I dare say it will be a while before the ice melts.

The boat is a Larson 15 1/4', Seats 5, 90hp motor and it came with the trailer of course.  It has an open bow for ME to sit in to fish and it has nice soft comfy seats and when my legs start to cramp I will be able to stand up to relieve the pain!  This is really important to me cause sitting on the hard seats in the aluminum boat with my feet on the cold floor made me suffer terribly but of course it wouldn't stop me! hehe  

I posted a couple of pics of the new boat on my profile and they are a little dark.  I took them when we got it home yesterday and now hubby has it all wrapped up like a sore thump with an ugle orange tarp so I won't get any more pics for a few days at least.  We have to get a new cover for it and possibly a bimini (a cloth sun screen roof) and some bumpers and a few other things but it is pretty well ready to go.

So, I had to share this happy news with my friends here and I wish I could take all of you fishing and get your mind off the problems associated with our monster.  It is a great way to relax and forget the world and it would be nice if I could share but unfortunately that is very unrealistic.  I will however share with anyone that wants to hear our experiences with the new boat and our life on the water.  We generally have a lot of laughs together, me and hubby and I can't wait for it to start!

He he he...Thanks Quix!  We are really looking forward to it but it is snowing like crazy today and it makes me grudgingly accept the anticipation I guess.  Now we have to convince MR GOTTROCKS that he will be able to drive with the 5th wheel and the boat behind it!  He is the one that is going to have to be convinced that he can do it!  Wish me luck in that department please!  hehe

Thanks for your good wishes both of you!  I had the first Robin in our tree this morning and it sure lifted my spirits...unfortunately we are in for a major snow storm tonight and tomorrow so I hope that poor little Robin brought his fur coat and wool socks!

Sounds good...we will be fishing for trout mostly so make sure you have lots of worms and spinner unless of course you fly fish! he he
