Pain in eye

His morning I had a stabbing pain in my right eye, the eye in which I was previously diagnosed with ON.  It didn't last long, only a few minutes (although its still  bit tender) and I have no bluriness.  Is this related to the ON or.just coincidence?

Well I'm left now with just a dull pain in my right eye but no vision problems at the moment.

I'm like you Sidesteps, my vision and pain seem to fluctuate and it used to scare me but it's become my new norm.... I just hope the stabbing pain I felt today doesn't become part of my new normal!

I still get stabbing pain in the eye that has had ON. Unfortunately, I have strangely good days where my vision is so much better then days where I get pain and my vision is craptacular and I worry....... but it sumbsides and goes away.

I agree with Tammy. While I am alerted to the possibility of a flare, I am learning to ignore many of the stabs, vibrations, twitches and even some muscle weakness unless it is extreme.

Lets hope "this too shall pass." :)

Yes, I'm hoping it's just the "normal" stabbing pain"!  LOL!

Of course, that remains to be seen.  It could still develop over the next several days...

I get sharp pains, and deep aching pains in my eyes periodically, and now I've had ON in both eyes, over the course of almost three years.   I haven't gotten a new attack every, every time I've had pains.  Now this is just my opinion mind you but, I think that since we get sharp shooting pains from other nerves in our bodies, there's no good reason to expect that they we won't get them in our optic nerve too.

Does any of that make sense?  For your sake, let's hope this is just a typical MS shooting nerve pain...
