Mine started years ago with burning..the entire foot. Then went to feeling like I had pads on the bottom of my feet (I know today that is called numb). Then to my feet being iced cold. That feeling is gone after four years.
I have had trouble with feet pain. In my case, I had a lot of burning and pain that felt like I was walking on broken feet. Although both feet hurt, it was my right foot that was the worst. It was worst in the morning or when I was sitting a while and tried to get up. It was so bad that I was rolling around in a desk chair at work and got my doctor to write a prescription for a wheelchair. I had to hold onto furniture and walls to walk around. I even needed help walking to the bathroom from my bed (very short distance), and needed a shower chair. This problem went on for years, until after starting my medicines for MS.
Maybe you would benefit from a medicine like Lyrica or Neurontin?

I am having the same type of symptoms. About five months ago I started having an achey feeling in my right ankle. It stayed that way about three months and then progressed to having numbness, variable pain (tingling, burning, cold, heel pain, pain on the top, pain on the bottom). The pain issue seems to move occasionally, but ankle pain is constant. The tingling and numbness has moved up the back of my calves though I am not having that symptom at this time. For about two days the symptoms decreased, but now it is back and is more painful tonight. It seems that alot of people have these type of symptoms mostly on the right side. I was just wondering why this would happen. I am having trouble walking due to this pain tonight. I would like to know what might be causing this.
The ball of my left foot has been killing me. I have been trying to figure out what I could have done to it....I really never thought of it as a possible MS symptom!
I do have spasticity in my calves and entire left leg....but this foot pain is different, almost a 'sore' kind of pain.
Hi I havent been dx with ms but thought I woul share my foot pain, I am waiting to get mri of c-spine and t-spine and puncture done.
My last episode of foot pain came durning veritgo and first rt leg felt weak thn i noticed when I walked my toes felt like they where slammed in a door so I tried to walk on side of foot but it caused my whole leg to shake, so then kindof walked on inside of foot this went on for a few days (the toe pain). Now my foot just feels like I have a ice pack on it.
Ps in the past I my footpain felt like a stone bruise on the botom of foot. Hope that helps.
Hi , I havent been dx but I had calisus on the ball of my feet due to my feet sliding in my shoes. My right leg is the weakest so I walked on the inside of my left foot until it got sore then transferred to the outside which eventually the whole heel was hurting.
I have the same pain as you, I have to use a cane when I get out of bed until I get a shower and get some heat on my muscles then I'm semi OK. Again cane after I sit for awhile and try to get up or if I have to walk a fair distance. It has now gone to my ankle where I have to wrap it.
So they diagnosed me with PLANTAR FACSCIITIS and went to physio. She done ultrasound, laser and ice for 10 min. and taped my heel more in place. This wasn't making any progress so she stopped saying she didnt think it was plantar facsciitis because I didn't have any arch pain. Then perscribed me orthodics.
But if you do the same exercises for this it does help. What is happening is that your calf muscle is tightening and it needs stretched. Before you get up in the morning keep a towel by your bed and pull your toes toward you for awhile and stretch that muscle. Or stand facing the wall with your foot about a foot away from the wall. Place your hands on the wall and try and touch your knee to the wall keeping your heel on the floor.
Heat on your heel in the morning and ice for 10 min. at night.
It helps but not a fix. It's an everyday excercise.
Hope this helps.
