I have cut my finger so deep that they could not sew it back together but I did not feel the pain from as well as standing in frount of the space heater and end up burning my legs and feel no pain till the blister brakes as I have said I don't feel alot of my cuts and end up looking for where the cut is

The neruo is wondering why this is and more testing is going to be done as she can't put a finger on why this is happening to me as well as the other things that tend to mismatch  things and want's many more testing but that means flying back and forth to Anch.

Hi, there.  Good to see you.  I have some comments and questions about this here Fibro diagnosis that I'll try to do later.

There are different kinds of snsory nerve endings below the surface of the skin and they each send different messages to the brain.

One nerve ending is for pressure.  You press down and feel pressure at the site.

Another is for pain.  It is deeper and when it is stimulated the brain feels pain at that site.  That one is also stimulated by the chemicals released when tissue is injured.  That's why pain can be felt long after the injury.

Another type of nerve ending is for heat.  If it completely fails to function the brain feels cold.

Another is for vibration.  And finally, there is a nerve ending for soft touch.

(there's actually several more, but my hands are tired.)

When they do the pin-poke test, if the sharp tip stimulates a healthy pain sensor, you will feel it as sharp.  This is really the same as pain, but so little area is poked that it just feels like a sting.  If the pain nerves are damaged, they won't send a message, but you can perceive the pressure of the poke.  (The pressure is felt when the nerve is healthy, too, but pain sends a "louder" message to the brain and overrides pressure)  So, if the area is damaged for pain you just full the "dull" pressure of the poke.

Does this make sense?
