Question about MRI- and MS

I have had some possible MS symptons over the past 2 years.

I have had 2 MRI's

one 2 years ago, and one last week, also had a CT scan.

all unremarkable.

my symptons, are left sided facial numbess, use to be pretty bad, but cleared up, dont hardly notice anymore, on no meds. and now mild dizzyness and bad headaches in the last 2 months.

I also have a breathing issue that may be sensory recepor related.

Sometimes, I do feel like my left foot- lower leg gets disconcted, but I never have lost streth, and can run a mile pretty easliy. I have notice general fatique, but its on and off, and could be due to stress.

anyways, I know sometimes, it can take a while for lesion to show up, or not show up at all.

but, with 2 clean MRI's, would that point me allot more towards the not having MS side?

I am 25, male, no fmaily history of MS

thanks for your time...

No, they were MRI's in addition to the CT.

I had the contrast dye with each of the MRI's. One last year, and one 2 weeks ago.
Both were clean. I read the reports, both say unremarkable.

I was thinking a spinal cord MRI, but then again dont want to waste un-needed test. I was also examined by a neuro, but just the basic tests in the office. (refulxes, eyes, foot stroke thing...)

Did they do the MRI of your brain or brain and spine?  Did they use contrast dye?  A CT scan is practically useless for seeing MS lesions so I wouldn't take an unremarkable scan as meaning anything.

Your symptoms can be MS, but it can also be so many other things.    Are you in the care of a neurologist?

First off, it sounds like you need a new MRI to see if there have been any changes.  There is also all the other testing that is done in working up an MS possiblility.  What other testing have you had?

I'm sorry if I have more questions than answers, but it will help us in helping you if you don't mind sharing this information.

One more thing...Take a look at our health pages located in the upper right hand corner.  You  will find an article on "clean MRIs" that would be interesting.

Take care.
